- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager, with all selections needing to win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to a team to level the match, expressed in whole or half goals, eliminating the draw outcome.
- Bankroll Management
- The strategy of deciding how much money to risk on each bet to protect your funds over time.
- Bet Builder
- A feature that lets you combine multiple outcomes from the same match into a single custom bet.
- Betting Exchange
- A platform where bettors can back and lay outcomes against each other, often with lower fees than traditional bookmakers.
- Bookmaker
- A company that sets odds and accepts bets on sporting events.
- Bookmaker Margin
- The percentage of all possible outcomes that the bookmaker keeps as profit, usually embedded in the odds.
- Cash Out
- A function that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Corner Kick Betting
- A market where you predict the number of corner kicks in a match or which team will take more.
- Decimal Odds
- A way of expressing odds as a single number that includes the stake; the payout equals the odds multiplied by the stake.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match, increasing your chance of winning.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet where you win if your chosen team wins, and get your stake back if the match ends in a draw.
- Fixed Odds
- The odds set by the bookmaker at the time of the bet, remaining unchanged regardless of later line movements.
- Full Time Result
- A simple bet on which team will win the match or if it will end in a draw at the end of regular play.
- Goal Line
- A line set by the bookmaker representing the total number of goals expected in a match; you bet over or under it.
- Halftime/Fulltime
- A bet that requires you to predict both the result at halftime and the final result of the match.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is ongoing, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Moneyline
- A straight bet on which team will win the match, with odds reflecting the relative strength of the teams.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- Another term for an accumulator, where multiple selections are linked together for a larger potential payout.
- Point Spread
- A handicap applied to the favored team to create a balanced betting field, often used in American sports.
- Steam
- Rapid movement of odds across different bookmakers, usually caused by heavy betting action on one side.
- Underdog
- The team expected to lose in a match; betting on them offers higher odds and a larger potential payout.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered by the bookmaker are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving an edge.
- Vigorish
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker charges for accepting a bet, built into the odds.
